Your Business Brief, the profile Arbyn builds of your store

A single page pulling together your store's identity, brand voice, what you sell, your operating facts, and how Arbyn currently represents you, refreshed automatically every week.

Every other page in the Knowledge Center is a specific source: documents, web pages, your catalog. The Business Brief is different, it's Arbyn's own assembled summary of your business as a whole, pulled together from your real store data and refreshed automatically, so you can see at a glance exactly what picture Arbyn has of you.

What it does

The Business Brief shows your store's identity (name, country, currency, timezone, business hours), your brand voice and tone, a summary of what you actually sell, your operating facts (which policies are set, which are missing), and how Arbyn currently represents your business to customers. A completeness score tells you how much of this picture is filled in from real data versus still missing.

Where to find it

Knowledge → Business Brief.

How it works

It's built from real data, not guessed. Every section on this page is either pulled directly from your live Shopify store or from settings you've configured elsewhere in Arbyn, your Agent Identity tone, your uploaded brand voice notes, your actual catalog. Nothing here is invented; a field that has no real data behind it is shown honestly rather than filled with a plausible-looking placeholder.

Identity covers your store name, domain, country, currency, timezone, business hours, your current plan, and which languages your storefront actually sells in. Most of this is read live from Shopify directly, so it stays accurate without you maintaining it separately here.

Brand voice shows the communication tone you've picked (Friendly & Professional, Direct & Concise, and so on) and whether you've written your own brand voice guidelines, both configured on Agent Identity, not here; this page reflects what's already set rather than being a separate place to set it.

What you sell summarizes your live catalog: how many products you have, how many are actually published and sellable, your most common product types and vendors, your typical price range, and a sample of real product titles, giving you a quick sanity check that Arbyn's view of your catalog matches what you'd expect.

Operating facts lists your Shopify policies (refund, privacy, terms, shipping, contact, legal, subscription) and flags plainly which ones are set and which are still missing, the same signal that feeds the Knowledge Center's completeness score.

How Arbyn represents you summarizes your current guardrail settings (how much control Arbyn has over refunds, cancellations, address changes, returns, and subscriptions), so you can see your safety configuration reflected here alongside everything else, without needing to jump to Settings to remember what you chose.

Refreshing. The whole brief rebuilds automatically on a weekly cadence, pulling fresh data every time so it never drifts far out of date. If you've just made a change (added a policy, updated your brand voice, published new products) and want the brief to reflect it immediately rather than waiting for the next weekly cycle, click Regenerate and it rebuilds on the spot.

Completeness is an honest measure, not a vanity number. It's based on whether real facts exist for a set of key fields: your store name, business hours, whether your catalog has real products indexed, whether any policies are set, whether you've configured a tone or brand voice, whether a narrative summary exists, your timezone, and whether Arbyn has learned anything about your customer base yet. It moves as you genuinely fill gaps, not on a schedule.

Good to know

  • This page doesn't let you edit anything directly. It's a summary of settings and data that live elsewhere (Agent Identity, Settings, your product catalog); to change something you see here, change it at its actual source.

  • Regenerate is instant, and safe to click any time. It doesn't reset anything, it just rebuilds the brief immediately from your current real data instead of waiting for the weekly refresh.

  • A missing field is shown as missing, honestly. Nothing here is invented to make the page look more complete than it actually is.

  • The brief refreshes automatically every week, so even if you never click Regenerate, it stays reasonably current on its own.

FAQ

Can I edit my brand voice or business hours from this page? No, this page reflects what's already configured elsewhere (Agent Identity for brand voice and tone, Hours and Greeting for your schedule). To change either, go to that setting directly; the Business Brief updates to match on its next refresh.

How often does the Business Brief update on its own? Weekly. Click Regenerate any time you want it refreshed immediately instead of waiting for the next cycle.

Why does my completeness score look low even though I've set up a lot? It's checking a specific set of real facts (store name, hours, catalog, policies, brand voice, a generated narrative, timezone, and customer data), so if one of those specific things genuinely isn't set yet, the score reflects that honestly rather than rounding up.

Does the Business Brief affect what Arbyn actually says to customers? It's a summary view built from the same real settings and data that already shape Arbyn's answers, it doesn't add anything new on top; it exists so you can see that picture clearly in one place.
